Four New High Resolution Watchmen Character pics Aug 26, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other The new issue of the Brazilian SET magazine featured four collectable Watchmen covers. Zach Snyder who is helming this project has now got into some legal troubles with Fox. 20 th Century Fox claims that it has rights to the graphic novel on which the Warner Bros film is basing Watchmen on. The film industry was all blazes when news about a federal judge allowing a lawsuit contending that Warner had filmed Watchmen without acquiring the rights that Fox says it has owned for 22 years. The film is based on the illustrated graphic novels by Alan Moore and David Gibbons. Studios have fought like this past like the recent fight over the rights of James Bond between MGM and Sony. Finally Sony made the highly successful Casino Royale as it became financially involved with MGM. So I just hope just dies down because there are a lot of people waiting for this new movie.
Vin Diesel: Fatherhood Is a 'Beautiful, Beautiful Thing' Aug 26, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other As an action hero Vin Diesel spends his time chasing bad guys and dodging explosions – but in real life he's just happy changing diapers. The star of the upcoming Babylon A.D. – who welcomed his first child, a daughter, in April with girlfriend Paloma Jimenez – says fatherhood has given him a whole new perspective. "Someone once told me that, when you have a child, it opens up parts of your heart that you never knew existed. And it is so true," Diesel told Parade magazine. "It's like you have a child and you think, 'Everything that I've done up until this point is insignificant in comparison to being a father.' It's a beautiful, beautiful thing." And Diesel says he's had plenty of parenting training – both on and off screen. "I had a lot of practice growing up. I was the oldest of the children in my family. I had to do a lot of diaper-changing and lunch-making," he says. "I was taking my little sister to ballet, picking up my brother, sort of being a super-nanny." Diesel then parlayed that experience into 2005's The Pacifier, which had him costarring with tiny tots. "Working with babies on the set for so long, it really started to bring out this desire to have a child," he says. "And it took a couple years after that to find the right person and to hopefully be mature enough to be a great father – which is really all you want to do."

Nathan Fillion Gets To Build His CASTLE Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Nathan Fillion, beloved Captain of Joss Whedon's "Firefly" will get another chance to make his TV dreams come true – his pilot for the police procedural "Castle" has been given the greenlight by ABC. "Castle" stars Fillion as horror novelist Nick Castle who is enlisted by the police to help them solve crimes. Earlier this year Fillion's self-written pilot "Repo Brothers" was also in development at ABC, but it looks like only "Castle" will get the pickup. Fresh from his web-crashing success on Joss Whedon's "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog," Nathan Fillion is one man who is long overdue for television fame. Beginning on "One Life To Live" in the 1990's Fillion has had one false start after another – his talent holding contract with Fox produced the less than stellar 2007 series "Drive" and he recently wrapped up one season's worth of work on "Desperate Housewives." Here's hoping that "Castle" is the show that finally makes Fillion a huge star outside of the Whedon-verse. ABC also made four other shows very happy on Monday, greenlighting an ensemble police procedural called "The Unusuals" starring Amber Tamblyn ("Joan of Arcadia"), the reboot of the 1998 series "Cupid" as well as the half hour comedies "Life On Mars" and "Better Off Ted." We'll give you more info on all of these when we hear it.

Hilary Swank Doesn't Know How To Quit Romance Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other After making a name for herself by playing tough women -- and winning Oscars for her efforts-- Hilary Swank seemed to decide last year that it was time to take a break and make out with Gerard Butler for a while. No one really begrudged her the vacation, and P.S. I Love You was a minor hit. Then she seemed to get back on track, set to star in an Amelia Earhart biopic, and, let's face it, snag like 5 Oscars in the process. But no, oh no, Swank will not settle for one trip to the derivative romantic comedy pool. She and her producing partner Molly Smith have acquired the rights to Something Borrowed, and the title alone tells you what kind of book this is. Variety says they'll develop it as a potential starring vehicle for Swank, but that pretty much means "Hilary Swank in Something Borrowed, December 2010." And that's not it. The deal also includes the right to the sequel, which is titled... wait for it... Something Blue. I guess that's all of the books, because Something New was already a movie, and Something Old is on hold for the Larry King story. Hilary, won't you end this madness? Isn't cuddling with Gerard Butler enough for you? Given that you've won two more Oscars than Kate Winslet, you'd think by now you'd have figured out a way to play a role that isn't "tough girl" or "awkwardly shoehorned into this love story." I guess it's only a matter of time before we see the combination of the two-- Race to the Altar, about a tough-as-nails Nascar driver who falls for her pit mechanic! Or maybe Tax Hike, about an earthy hiking expert who marries a stuffy tax accountant. Hilarity, obviously, ensues.

Carving, art yields expression Aug 26, 2008 LadyHillary Other Eric Schweig, Inuk, isn't shy. He's not afraid to share his opinion. His ability to not block that expression is shown with his skill of carving. Carving was a gift he acquired at an early age. It started as a love that was nurtured into adulthood. Schweig studied traditional Pacific Coast carvings before refining this scope toward the traditional masks of his ancestors, the Inuit. He hand-carves the masks from the red cedar of Vancouver, British Columbia. ''I've been doing it my whole life, since I was a kid, just because it was the most organic form of expression that I could think of.'' Schwieg explained how he and his clients conceptualize a mask. ''It's art. You can do anything with it. It doesn't matter. ... It's open to interpretation. It's alchemy. You make something out of nothing. It just depends on what I want to do, or what I feel like doing, or what a client feels like doing, or your state of mind. Whether you're happy, sad or angry; whether the client's happy, sad or angry. It just depends on what he or she wants, or what you want. You can do anything. It's wide open. It's freestyle and it's wide open. So, there's no one way to design something. Absolutely no [limitations].'' The masks can take up to a few months to complete, depending on the level of intricacy. He said that while the colors used can symbolize different things, they're often chosen because they hold special meaning to the client. ''It's usually open to interpretation. If somebody wants something done, I'll usually get a color swatch from them and then I'll go to an art store and I'll match it, and that'll be it.'' His signature style includes a certain distinction. ''To me, the only thing that sort of sticks out that I like is contrast. That's why I always put a white base coat on everything. So anything I put on top of that is going to pop out.'' Schweig recently received an honorary doctorate in education from Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario. ''That's like a once in a lifetime thing. It was cool. And it was so nice, everybody was so nice. The graduates were polite and accommodating. ... It was a really classy event and I was glad to be a part of it.'' Schweig told Indian Country Today the words of wisdom he shared with the graduates. ''Creativity is the building blocks of intelligence. And when they're given the chance to incorporate as much of that alchemy and creativity, there's a sort of sense of originality in their schoolwork. Because right now, the reason why everybody is stupid - and everybody is stupid - is because the education system is more preoccupied with teaching kids what to think instead of how to think. And when you teach kids how to draw or let them express themselves through art, they develop their own sense of individuality and identity and then they're able to form their own thoughts and opinions about a number of issues on a number of different levels. ''But, the education system ... is more interested in getting kids in line, pay attention to the rules, watching the stoplights instead of the cars. If I had kids ... I'd want them to watch out for the cars, not the stoplights, because stoplights fail, but your eyes don't.'' In addition to being an artist, he's an actor, musician, and a volunteer representative and motivational speaker for street outreach. He appears throughout North America speaking to indigenous, American Indian and First Nations youth about suicide prevention, alcohol abuse and adoption, among other things. He also wanted to prepare the graduates for the world they're about to enter. ''I was trying to tell them from an outreach point of view, that the kids they're going to see, they're going up to some really troubled communities. ... They're going to run into some of the areas in Canada where the socioeconomic conditions of indigenous people up there are horrific. It's the bottom of the barrel and that's where they're being sent. ''A lot of those kids that are graduating don't have any life experience, so they don't know. When they get thrown curve balls or fast balls or drop balls, they don't know how to hit them. They're going to back off the plate. They might not know how to handle that and they need to be prepared.''
Honorary degree for Schweig Aug 26, 2008 LadyHillary Other Eric Schweig will be bestowed an honorary Doctor of Education and will deliver the convocation address to the graduates of Nipissing's Faculty of Education, Junior/Intermediate division. Schweig is an award winning Canadian actor whose acting resumé includes a long list of credits, awards and award nominations including the recent HBO production of Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. Schweig is known for his portrayal of "Uncas" in Michael Mann's The Last of the Mohicans; as well as "Injun Joe" in Disney's Tom and Huck; and, in his critically acclaimed role as "Chiden," a psychopathic killer in Ron Howard's The Missing. His performance as "Pike Dexter" in The Big Eden earned him the Grande Jury Prize for Outstanding Actor at the Outfest Film Festival in July 2000. Schweig is also an accomplished artist who carves traditional Spirit Masks of the Inuit. In addition to his work as an actor, musician and artist, Schweig is an active volunteer at a street-level youth outreach agency and speaks to Indigenous, Native American and First Nation youth about suicide prevention, alcohol abuse, adoption and homelessness. In 2009, he will be traveling throughout the United states and Canada speaking at health and wellness conferences to adults and the youth on such topics as child theft, adoption, physical abuse, alcohol abuse and recovery, goals and overcoming adversity.
Save The Date: Dragonball Trailer Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other We have a save the date for the Dragonball movie. CS says the first trailer for Dragonball is coming on October 17th, attached to Max Payne. That’s the first place you’ll be able to see it in theaters, though there’s always the chance that 20th Century Fox may put it online earlier. They will, if they want to avoid bootleg versions popping up all over the internet during the weekend. Dragonball is not in fact about a medieval apothecary who develops a magical cure for sterility by grinding up dragon testicles. Instead, it’s based on the anime series Dragonball Z about guys standing around throwing energy balls at each other in pursuit of a magical thing called the Dragonball. It arrives in movie theaters on April 10th, and I’m told there’s absolutely nothing we can do to stop it.
Wayne Wang Offers His New Film Online, for Free Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Now, I know Wayne Wang isn't in most cinephiles' good graces these days.* He's spent most of the decade making bland and unremarkable middle-brow flicks like Maid in Manhattan, Because of Winn-Dixie and Last Holiday. But the director behind The Joy Luck Club and Chinese Box still has a fair bit of cachet, and when he does something like make his new film available in its entirety online and for free, people pay attention. So, pay attention: Wang's The Princess of Nebraska, an indie he premiered at last year's Toronto International Film Festival (where it got a positive review from Cinematical's Kim Voynar), will be offered for free on the internet in September. The filmmaker partnered with ex-SXSW chief Matt Dentler and his Cinetic Rights Management to make this happen, as a means of releasing Princess simultaneously with its companion film, A Thousand Years of Good Prayers, which will come to theaters courtesy of Magnolia Pictures. The exact plans of the release (i.e. where, how) haven't been announced, but I'll keep an eye on it. Take a look at this IndieWire story for more. Not, probably, the start of a new Hollywood trend, given that The Princess of Nebraska -- a no-budget drama about a pregnant Chinese teenager's struggles in the United States -- probably wouldn't have done much business anyhow. But if Dentler and his colleagues can figure out a way to get people to watch the thing, who knows. Indie filmmakers could always use a new channel. *The exception is our own Eric D. Snider, who informs me: "I love Wang films!"
Islamic Group Misses Point, Wants 'Towelhead' Title Changed Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other One of the more controversial and polarizing films at this year's Sundance Film Festival (and last year's Toronto fest) was Towelhead, a dark and uncomfortable comedy about a 13-year-old Lebanese-American girl living in Texas during the first Gulf War. It was directed by Alan Ball, who showed with American Beauty (which he wrote) and HBO's Six Feet Under (which he created) that he has a knack for finding humor in the sinister corners of suburbia. The film is set for limited release on Sept. 12 (here's Cinematical's review from Toronto), and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is calling on Warner Bros. to change the title before it comes out. A press release from the Greater Los Angeles Area office of CAIR said, "The word ('towelhead') is commonly used in a derogatory manner against people of the Muslim faith or Arab origin." Furthermore: "The use of such a derogatory term by a major film studio will serve to increase its acceptability in public discourse." Really, CAIR? "Towelhead" is a slur? Then I wonder why the filmmakers would use it as a title -- unless -- you don't think -- nah -- could it be that the whole point of the movie is that this girl is trying to find her identity, and that "Towelhead" is one of the epithets she has to deal with while living in a redneck town during the Gulf War? Could it be that one of the movie's messages is that slurs like that are unacceptable? Could it be that only the most bigoted and idiotic of viewers could come out of it thinking, "I'm gonna start sayin' 'towelhead' more often!"?
MGM Not For Sale After All Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Guys, put that $5 billion back in the bank! We and the rest of the Internet reported yesterday that MGM's backers, including Comcast and Sony, were trying to offload the studio onto anyone willing to put up the $5 billion. But today Variety is clearing the air, reporting that the studio is not for sale now, nor does it plan to be. "There is no 'asking price' for the company. MGM's existing financing arrangements are sufficient to meet its needs." the studio reportedly said in a statement. Variety says the whole kerfuffle yesterday started thanks to a BusinessWeek story that said the studio was on the auction block. The trade paper seems to take it at face value that the article was just a mistake, and nothing at all is happening to sell the company, but isn't that a little suspicious? These stories don't just come out of thin air, right? As we said yesterday, it won't really affect the average moviegoer if the studio is sold, so this is mostly a weird game to watch from the sidelines. But yeah, if you withdrew $5 billion from the bank yesterday to buy MGM-- or if you bought your own lion, as I suggested-- hold your horses. Go bail out one of those failing banks instead, will ya?

Lil Wayne’s Daughter Is Not Dead Aug 26, 2008 jessalynlissa Other Rumors that rapper Lil wayne’s 8-year-old daughter died in a car crash hit the Internet late yesterday. But relatives and sources close to Weezy say the story is not true. A message, apparently posted by Lil Wayne’s aunt on his MySpace page reads: I am pleased to inform you that this report is false. It is merely a rumor started by someone who obviously is miserable in their own skin that they would even have the notion to attack a child. Rest assured Reginae is tucked away in her bed at this very moment trying to get past the hurt this ugliness has caused her and our family.” Fans have flooded the rapper’s MySpace page with condolences.
Extras seek $11 million from Tom Cruise after accident Aug 26, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Twelve movie extras are seeking $11 million in damages from Tom Cruise and his production company after suffering broken bones, cuts and bruises in the filming of World War Two picture "Valkyrie" in Berlin last year. The extras were injured on August 19, 2007, when the side panel of a period German army truck burst open as it drove around a corner in central Berlin. A lawyer for the extras told Reuters Television on Tuesday that witness statements indicated the truck's side panel had not been properly secured. Cruise was not on the set at the time. "A new letter has been sent to Tom Cruise, (business partner) Paula Wagner and United Artists, in which we set out the facts of the case again and put a figure on the legal demands of our clients ... of $11 million," said lawyer Ariane Bluttner. "Valkyrie" is named after the codename for a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler concocted by senior German military officers during World War Two. Cruise plays ringleader Claus von Stauffenberg. The film's original release date has been postponed to December 26 from July 4 this year. The German government initially banned the production from shooting on location at the Berlin site where the plot was hatched and the conspirators executed. It later changed its mind after months of national debate that focused in part on membership of the Scientologist spiritual movement, of which Cruise is a member. Germany does not recognize Scientology as a religion and regard it as a cult masquerading as a church to make money -- a view rejected by Scientologists. The movie is being produced by MGM's United Artists banner, which Cruise runs with business partner Wagner. UA's debut release under the new regime, the Cruise vehicle "Lions for Lambs," bombed at the box office last November. Bluttner said if her clients do not receive a satisfactory out-of-court settlement, she would seek to submit a claim to courts in the United States, where United Artists is based. The level of damages reflected similar cases in the past and there was a risk that a U.S. judge could order punitive damages for negligence if the case went to court, Bluttner added.
Radcliffe annoyed over 'Equus' criticism524 Aug 26, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Daniel Radcliffe has hit back at claims that his theatre show Equus is pornographic. The Harry Potter actor admitted that he faced a backlash from some fans after it emerged that he would be stripping naked in the play, which sees him take on the role of troubled teen Alan Strang. "Offended mothers were calling in and saying I shouldn't be doing this, that they weren't going to see it," Radcliffe told WENN. "Okay, don't see it. They're are treating it like it's pornography and it's not. It's only seven minutes at the end of the play when I'm naked and I'm 19 now." Radcliffe appeared in the West End play between February and June last year. He is now preparing to return to the role when the production transfers to Broadway next month.

Stephanie Rice Denies Dating Michael Phelps Aug 26, 2008 SexiVixxEN Other Australian Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice is presented with commemorative underwear upon her return to Sydney, Australia on Tuesday. Rice, 20, is rumored to be dating US golden boy Michael Phelps. When asked about the rumored romance and alleged kiss she and Phelps shared together she said, “No, it was just really great to meet him … and people that you usually see on TV, like [Rafael] Nadal and [Roger] Federer. To me Michael Phelps is a huge inspiration and someone I really look up to.” Rice received her commemorative underwear along with her former boyfriend, Eamon Sullivan. The couple broke up just before the Beijing Olympics. Sullivan won silver and a bronze but claimed a world record in 100m freestyle heats while Rice collected three gold in three events. DO YOU THINK Stephanie Rice and Michael Phelps would make a good couple?
Terrorism Thriller 'Traitor' is from a Story by ... Steve Martin? Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other As I exited the screening of Traitor, the terrorism thriller starring Don Cheadle that opens on Wednesday, I noticed something odd in the closing credits: story by Steve Martin and Jeffrey Nachmanoff. The second guy is the film's director. But that first guy ... Steve Martin? The Steve Martin? I knew the one-time Wild and Crazy Guy was a renaissance man. In fact, lately I've enjoyed his writing, which is clever, nuanced, and intelligent, more than I've enjoyed most of his movies. He apparently is not as selective about his film projects as he is about his writing. His novella The Pleasure of My Company is one of my favorite recent books, and Shopgirl (which was made into a film) is another surprisingly emotional gem. But a terrorism thriller about Muslim extremists and FBI investigations? Even with the understanding that "typical Steve Martin" territory extends much further than the casual fan might realize, this was not typical Steve Martin territory. Checking out the film's website, I found this explanation: "Traitor began its journey to the big screen when Steve Martin presented an intriguing idea to producer David Hoberman while they were working together on the blockbuster comedy Bringing Down the House. Martin's "what if?" scenario immediately captured Hoberman's imagination with its provocative contemporary themes and surprising final twist." The production notes go on to describe Nachmanoff and Don Cheadle doing a lot of reworking of Nachmanoff's script, which had been based on Martin's original concept, so I don't know how much of Martin's idea is in the finished product. (He's also credited as an executive producer.) But either way, as a huge fan of Martin's, it's always exciting to see him do something new. It's also nice to know that something positive came out of Bringing Down the House.

Brittany Murphy Cheats in the 'Across the Hall' Trailer Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other In February, Brittany Murphy signed on to star in the noir thriller Across the Hall, and now you can check out a trailer for the film above. It's supposed to be a thriller about a man, his fiancee, and his best friend, and it is, but there are also a whole lot of mixed messages thrown in for good measure. While the plot seems like your typical love triangle -- girl cheats with lover's best friend, lover chooses to kill best friend and live happily ever after -- there's a whole slew of horror techniques that are either misleading or hinting at some big, supernatural twist. The hotel and the room across the hall are described as if they're filled with ghosts or other ghoulish things, instead of just a jealous fiance. Quick cuts merge with eerie voice-overs, but while some sort of big fright seems right around the corner, it never comes. It's all a big mystery, but at least it looks interesting. The film is slated to hit theaters February 6, 2009.
New Calendar Images from 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other Alejandro Martínez over at BlogHogwarts has sent us a bunch of images from the just-released Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince calender. I know, it's hard to get excited about anything associated with a movie we won't see until July, but a calender can help alleviate your pain by giving you a little dose of Harry Potter all through 2009. Right? Ok, maybe not. You have to hand it to Warner Bros -- of all the franchises to be delayed, none works so well as Harry Potter. It doesn't matter that we don't know the film incarnations of the characters, because we've been living with the Half Blood cast for years on the page. When you think of it that way, all this badly timed merchandise doesn't seem so ridiculous. There's some very cool stills here that I wish was bigger, particularly the troubled Draco Malfoy you can glimpse below. I've enlarged it, but at the cost of the quality -- if someone shells the bucks out for this (I'm looking at you, Emma Watson fans), feel free to send big scans along for your Cinematical friends.
Babylon A.D. Director Mad as Hell, Calls Movie Stupid, Fox Gut-less Aug 26, 2008 Petes1234567 Other It’s official. Slashfilm is in the midst of a 2008 Vin Diesel dunkirk. Not only did the muscled actor inexplicably drop the “Riddick is back, no matter what! Two films!” bomb yesterday, there’s his new Fast and Furious trailer. And last night on a superb /Filmcast, we examined the actor’s radioactive connection to Osama bin Laden. This weekend sees the (non?)opening of Diesel’s long-delayed sci-fi actioner Babylon A.D. Don’t click the button on Fandango just yet! The director, Mathieu Kassovitz, says the movie sucks… “I should have chosen a studio that has guts,” Kassovitz told AMC. “Fox was just trying to get a PG-13 movie. I’m ready to go to war against them, but I can’t because they don’t give a shit. …I don’t see how people who went through all these amazing blockbusters like The Dark Knight and Iron Man this summer will take [Babylon A.D.].” Kassovitz—best known for directing 1995’s Hate before shipping off to Hollywood to make Gothika—compares many of Babylon’s scenes to a “bad episode of 24.” He also feels the “stupidity and violence” takes away from the film’s underlying each-one-teach-one message about the future. So, how does Sunny Vin D feel about it? “Am I even in the movie any more, or am I on the cutting room floor?” the actor joked. Death Race, you’re going down.

Vin Diesel: RIDDICK Sequels Still Possible Aug 26, 2008 labelitlove Other It seems average box office returns can't keep a good Furyan warrior down. The Pitch Black spin-off The Chronicles of Riddick was the first of a planned trilogy based on the warrior played by Vin Diesel but poor box office returns in 2004 cast doubt on whether we would be seeing the character again. The film had a $105 mil budget and wound up only grossing $115.8 mil worldwide. Well, apparently, that's not stopping writer David Twohy from planning out the story for the next two sequels, reports Vin Diesel to MTV. The only question at the moment is how they go about producing the next two sequels. "David Twohy right now is writing the scripts. The only question is whether we take a page from the 'Lord of the Rings' guys and try to shoot the two chapters at the same time. There are two more in mind," he said of Riddick, the Furyan warrior first introduced in the 2000 film "Pitch Black." "'The Chronicles of Riddick' was presented as a three part trilogy that would answer...
Keaton's in Toy Story 3 Aug 26, 2008 labelitlove Other Michael Keaton has been cast in the upcoming TOY STORY 3. Jodi Benson, who voiced Ariel in THE LITTLE MERMAID also joins the production. Not much is known about the project, save for a snippet that was handed to the Wall Street Journal: “Woody the cowboy and his toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, leaves for college.” Apparently Benson will be playing a Barbie, but I'm pretty sure there's still time for us to lobby and get that chick to play Ariel again. I don't care what anyone says, red-head mermaids who don't know shit about human life are hot. You can tell them anything and they'll buy it. People might tell you it isn't true love but it would probably be pretty easy to score sex so you can make up your own mind about that.
Celebrating The Hairstyles of Nicolas Cage Aug 26, 2008 labelitlove Other Hollywood loves to celebrate its actors. It's a town filled with ass kissing and handshakes. Promises to do lunch and high fives when you've done your third line of coke at one of Brett Ratner's parties. One actor that should be celebrated is Nicolas Cage. We've all grown up watching Cage's movies. From drama to comedy to action, Nicolas has done it all. He's one of American cinema's greats and has always been a pleasure to watch on screen. But why is that? Is it his acting? His smile? His line delivery? While these things help, it's not the reason why people flock to theaters to see him on screen. No, ladies and gentleman, it's because in every movie, he's wearing a different hair style piece. I'm writing this article to celebrate the greatest hairstyles pieces of Nicolas Cage. I want to show the world that this actor can pull off any role; as long as he has the right hairstylist behind him. Here's to you Mr. Cage. May your hair live long and prosper.
Exclusive: 'Lost' Resurrects Michelle Rodriguez! Aug 26, 2008 labelitlove Other Well, this should be interesting. Michelle Rodriguez, arguably one of the more polarizing personalities to have ever gotten Lost, is returning to the show this season, multiple sources confirm to me exclusively. Details of her comeback are, not surprisingly, shrouded in secrecy, but here's what I can tell you: • Rodriguez is back for one episode, most likely this season's second. As a result, the risk to Hawaii's roadways is said to be minimal. • Given that Ana Lucia's bullet-riddled body is probably entering the final stage of decomposition, conventional Lost wisdom (if there is such a thing) points to her appearing in someone's flashback or via hallucination. The fact that Cheech Marin is also on the guest list for eppy 2 suggests that it's most likely a Hurley-centric outing. And after his encounter with Charlie's ghost last season, it's certainly feasible that Hurley would have an imaginary run-in with Ana Lucia.
