This has to be my one of my all time favorite Comedy movies... I love this film. The movie is based around two guys one Black and Blind (Played to perfection by Richard Pryor) the other, White and Deaf (Played by the equally funny Gene Wilder). Both are accused of killing the bookie of the Blind Guy this leads to a hilarious chase across the county and them trying to uncovering the people who set them up. I could easily go on and on about this movie but in doing so would ruin it for you. This is one of the only movies that I have seen that I remember laughing untill there where tears in my eyes.
this movie is just too funny if only i could have watched the whole thing but since i've caught it on comedy central it was already halfway started still i've saw enough to know it's a good movie
quote: who's driving the car ? - I think it's the blind one (lol)
funny move bout a deaf and blind guy who gets stuckin in the middlie of a murder i think been awhile
The remarkable duo of Pryor and Wilder reunite in this 80's classic comedy. Yes, it's a bit of a 'one-joke' movie that gets milked for all it's worth, but with laughs like this, who cares? The two leads are just so much fun and while it may be a bit dated, the comedic timing of Richard Pryor is pretty timeless. Joan Severance and a youngish Kevin Spacey make for a sinister duo of baddies, and even if you saw this way back when, I highly recommend revisiting this well loved classic from one of the truly great comedic duos.
Pryor and Wilder are a terrific duo. I laughed so hard watching this. There are parts where I cried because of the laughter.
I always think of this movie first when I think of Gene Wilder. "Fuzzy wuzzy was a woman?" Classic.
You people really need watch movies...I doubt alot of people have seen this one either, so I'll describe it. Once again, the good old comedy team: Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. 'David Lyons'(Wilder) is deaf, "Repeat, deaf!", and 'Wally Carrou' is blind. Luckily the two have each other, because they sure need it. A woman kills a man over a gold coin right in the place where Wally and David work, and the woman is gone when the police arrive, so David and Wally get arrested for a crime they didn't commit. When asked what happened, Wally replies, "I SMELLED a woman, but I didn't SEE a woman...", and David replies, "I can tell you just one thing. She has the most incredible legs I have ever seen in my life." So right away, David and Wally are able to escape, bumbling around town trying not to be noticed, and end up in New Jersey(from New York). Anything with Pryor and Wilder is absolutely hilarious and a must-see.
One of my fave movies from the 80s! Gene Wilder & Richard Pryor play off each other very well- they have a great rapport on-screen.
Wilder and Pryor in their best comedy duo performance. And the way richord prior and gene wilder pull things off working together.
one of the funniest movies of all time and a very early role for Kevin Spacey...that alone is enuf to go see this at least once...okie that and Gene and Richard are side spliting funny as a deaf and blind guy
was a good comedy using a funny story line ( ablind guy becomes best freinds with a deaf guy ) and the way richord prior and gene wilder pull things off working together is genius.
Blind guy, deaf guy. Pryor, Wilder... Spacey! Fuzzy wuzzy wasa woman? The mens' rea?!?! I wore a condom. So good i wish I could eat it!
awesome, wafer sized plot but who cares, it's a blind guy and a deaf guy running away from cops (and in typical style of american police the cops fail badly) and beating people up, and that's funny.
I saw this movie when I was a kid and remember enjoying it. I probably didn't understand most of the jokes though. I still recall the line, "Fuzzy Wuzzy was a woman." I have no idea what it means but it makes me giggle.
I remember watching this years ago. It is hilarious. Wilder and Pryor together makes for riotous laughter.
What do you get when you mix a deaf guy and a blind guy...some funny ass shit. The scene where they first meet is classic.
Everything about this film points to it be a sick, sad mess, but somehow it turns into a funny thriller.
I thought this movie was really funny. Only Pryor and Wilder could've pulled off the plot of the movie. Too funny!
i havnt seen this film for ages, most of what i can remember is gene wilder doing a really weird walk down a path lol
Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor slip up a couple of times and I always find Wilder writes good scenes but weak endings. However after repeated viewings, I still laugh too much to mind.
Very,very funny.
Saw this when it first came out.
The two of these guy's together was the
best idea.
Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor at their comedic best, one is blind and one is deaf, certainly not p.c. by today's standards but so, so funny
Comedy Classic!
When Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder team up - theres nothing more funny on this planet!!!
Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder make a great pairing in what is a comedy made even better by the copious amounts of inappropriate humour. The swear-o-meter goes through the roof and is nothing other than gratuatous (which is refreshing in this PC world we now inhabit). Some might say that the running joke is somewhat offensive but my god when did we lose the ability to laugh at ourselves and poke fun at others. Joan Severance is very pleasing on the eye and makes sure that the veiwer knows it. Its not complicated, it provides chuckles all the way through and its delightfully entertaining.
