Just got through renting this thank goodness eye didn't buy it. The film ultimatly disapointed me, the characters were stupid and anoying, well all except for the marginally likeable tour guide. The real star of the film however is Mr. Crocodylus porosus in laymans terms it means Salt Water Crocodile. Yes Mr. Saltie is one bad mutha f***a! It's a shame that the rest of the film falls flat this film could have easily topped JAWS if the cast didn't kill the film entirly. This film features some of the most beautiful wildlife footage you'll ever see it made me want to take a trip to Austrilia which eye will have to do at some point in my life. The film is based on the true story of sweetheart the rogue crocodile that attacked boats and was considered a major threat and was hunted and eventually killed,(check out the article about it on Google).

Australian horror film about a killer crocodile is essentially the umpteenth retelling of Jaws. But wait a minute! This suspenseful well-paced version of "When Animals Attack" isn't half bad. Superior cinematography and music give this horror film the feel of quality.

This was a really great movie. I enjoyed how it built suspence in the beginning and gave you a chance to get to know each character. The mix of real crocs and the computer animated one was a nice touch. The effects were great. It was a scary movie that had you rooting for the characters until the end.

Wow, I wasn't expecting how tense this actually ended up being, I did a lot of teeth grinding as the trapped tourists try to find a way out of the croc's feeding grounds.

I can really say when i first started to watch this movie i didnt think it was gonna be that great cause of all the other crocodile people in danger movies out there like Primevil for one but this one did surprise me by not being that bad. The film starts with a group of tourists on a sight seeing river tour when they see flares in the distance they go to help and come face to face with a huge crocodile worth checking out as this one does cut above the rest out there

What a surprise...this was good! I like these "Monster/Creature" movies and usually they are so lala, but this one was really well done. This creater needs to be watched closely. The story was good, I liked the Cast and the overall execution was really impressive. kudos!

I'll never understand how so much shit makes it into theaters and a great film like this gets the direct-to-dvd treatment! Writer/director Greg McLean's follow-up to the somewhat disappointing Wolf Creek proves he's got what it takes to be a great director in the horror genre. Rogue is filled with suspense, atmosphere and a true sense of dread. The Australian locations used in the film are some of the most beautiful you'll ever see and are one of the main reasons the film works so well. The characters are actually likable, the acting is decent, and although the story isn't exactly the most original thing, McLean always keeps you guessing as to who will be the croc's next victim. There's nothing more annoying than being able to predict exactly who will die and when....which seems to happen a lot in horror films these days. Some of the croc attacks could've been executed a little better, and the film wasn't half as bloody as I was expecting, but that doesn't really matter since I jumped out of my seat at least ten times. Although the CGI on the croc was actually quite impressive, the film still went downhill a bit towards the end. The third act definitely could've used some work. Other than that, Rogue is a fantastic "monster" movie that's beautifully shot and suspenseful as hell. Don't waste your time with all the other shitty, giant crocodile movies out there. Rogue is the only one to see.

Great movie. Fascinating story plot that surrounds a stranded group of tourists trapped in the feeding area of a giant crocodile while trying to stay alive. Great cast! Fantastic performances by Michael Vartan and Radha Mitchell. Definitely worthy.

How is that an intelligent, well-made horror film like this gets forced into obscurity, yet crap like AVP-R: ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM get full theatrical releases? One of the best killer crocodile films I've ever seen. The cast does a great job and the script plays fair by them, refusing to force them into faceless categories. The special effects are fantastic and the film knows how to keep its monster out of sight in order to build suspense. The cinematography is simply gorgeous and the scenery of the Australian outback is used to marvelous effect. It's not a perfect film--it contains a particularly shameless instance of the "hero's death battle exemption"--but it's always nice to see a horror film that doesn't insult its audience.

I enjoyed this. A nicely done killer croc movie. This was way better than that primal, and the acting was great. More of a character done movie that makes you think what they are like and gives you hints throughout how they are.

It's a movie that i'm very surprised did not get a theatrical release here in the United States, especially if you've been disappointed by the latest line of killer crocodile films. Not a gory film but suspenseful it is.

The U.S. distributors gave this film a bum rap, dumping it on a couple of screens before releasing it to DVD. There were quite a few of us, I think, that were highly curious about the film after seeing McLean's shocking Wolf Creek.

Sadly, while the film is competently done, there simply isn't that much you can do with this sub-genre of film. Kudos to McLean and his team for keeping the beast realistic in its actions and motives (and size), but it's still a bunch of generic, underdeveloped characters fighting to stay alive in the usual croc-on-the-loose-in-the-wild kind of ways.

Certainly not bad, but sadly nothing to gab on about like Wolf Creek.

Note and minor spoiler for parents or the squeamish: there are shots in the film of an apparent real photograph of the remains of a 12 year old boy being pulled from the stomach of a gator before the child became too digested. It is truly horrifying to look at.

By the same director of Wolf Creek. Stressful and well acted. The graphics were also above par for this kind of movie.

Having watched Wolf Creek I expected a slow start, it had bits of tension through the movie but overall offered nothing really original except some great sights of the outback.

Pretty good "dangerous animal" movie. Rogue has a typical plot for this kind of movie, well a group of tourist try to escape to their encounters to a man-eating crocodile.

Greg McLean does a really great job, his direction is really good and the photograpy is satisfiying. The music score is great and the CGI is fantastic, this is the best cocodrile movie I´ve seen,

The performance are really good, Radha Mitchell and Michael Vartan did a great job, and the rest of actors fits in their character.

Rogue is a highly recommended movie and you will enjoy this film if you like movies about dangerous animal.

Some nice scenes of the outback, powerful cunning beastie, thinks better in the water haha movie starts off well, the introduction of the croc to the tourists is flawed,a couple shocks then movie becomes too far fetched.

If you like your croc flicks gory, give this one a pass. If you're just looking for a little suspenseful fun, Rogue is not too bad. Better than Black Water IMHO.

As an Aussie you are constantly surrounded by animals that could quite easily kill you if they really wanted to. Rogue tries to cash in on that fact by blending our natural awareness of the crocodiles in the local river with a silly giant monster movie feel. Its grip on success is shaky.
